Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to contribute to civil scope development, budgets, and design for a range of projects. You will serve as Engineer of Record on non‑complex projects and coordinate with internal and external resources to complete due diligence, while ensuring site layouts meet jurisdictional requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• PE or equivalent license is required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering scope of work and budgets for proposals.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on non‑complex projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for due diligence and documentation.
• Create concept site layouts compliant with jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate with Jurisdictional Authority to determine design and submittal requirements.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings.
• Design and plan production for civil site layouts, drainage, utilities, and related activities.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise a small team.
