Job summary

HDR is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services. You will develop site layouts, manage design tasks, and coordinate with clients and authorities while mentoring junior staff.

Role requires a PE license and 6+ years in civil engineering. Expect leadership duties, collaboration across teams, and a strong focus on quality and client service in a dynamic, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE or equivalent) license required.
• 6+ years of general civil engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop site civil layouts and design calculations for projects.
• Contribute to scope of work and budgets for proposals.
• Serve as Engineer of Record on non-complex projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources for due diligence and documentation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate design solutions with authorities.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise a small team when needed.
