Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking an Entry Level Staff Engineer for its Site Civil Design Team in Westwood, MA. You will contribute to infrastructure projects across the Northeast, gaining hands-on experience in planning, permitting, design development, and construction oversight.

The role emphasizes staying current with regulations, sustainable design, and professional growth within a collaborative, employee-owned firm that values safety and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• FE Exam passed or plan to by June 2027.
• Relevant internships in surveying, engineering, permitting, or construction observation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Work on site planning and design, permitting, and problem-solving.
• Draft figures, details, and plans.
• Perform field work in support of design and construction.
• Prepare design calculations and opinions of probable construction costs.
• Prepare technical specifications, memoranda, reports, and project correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide construction phase services including observation and review of submittals.
