Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking an Entry Level Staff Engineer for our Structural Building Design Team in Massachusetts. You’ll support projects in Westfield, Sandwich, and nearby offices, applying steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design under senior guidance.

Ideal candidates have a Structural/Civil degree, FE/EIT (or plan to by 2027), and strong communication skills; a Master’s degree is a plus. Hybrid work model with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural.
• Pass FE Exam and obtain EIT by June 2027 or already certified.
• Familiarity with structural analysis concepts and related software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, curious, self‑motivated, organized.

Responsibilities

• Support the structural design of vertical construction projects under senior guidance.
• Develop designs using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood in code compliance.
• Prepare drawings, reports, specifications, and calculation packages using software.
• Observe construction, assist QA, review submittals, and field surveys.
• Participate in QA and peer-review deliverables for accuracy.
