Riverside Elementary in Grants Pass, Oregon, is hiring a Special Education Educational Assistant for a site-based PALS classroom. The role covers 7 hours per day across a 182-day calendar (Aug–June) for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities include supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder using ABA-based strategies and structured visual instruction. The successful candidate will have at least a high school diploma (or equivalent), with preference for college coursework in Special

Qualificações

• Twelfth grade equivalent education required; options include two years of college, an associate’s degree, or a passing score on the district assessment.
• Preferred: college-level work or vocational training in Special Education principles and practices, behavior management, or related basic physical/medical needs.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning and implementing specialized learning experiences for students in the program; confer with teacher.
• Perform clerical tasks such as ordering, record keeping, typing and filing as assigned.
• Support students with feeding, toileting challenges, and social/communication/sensory differences as needed.
• Establish cooperative relationships with staff and students; work well with diverse learners.
