Job summary

Eagle Point School District 9 is seeking a compassionate Special Education Instructional Assistant to join the PALS program at Eagle Rock Elementary in Eagle Point, OR. You will work with the Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse needs in academic, behavioral, and daily living tasks.

The role requires collaborating with the classroom team, maintaining documentation, and responding flexibly to the unpredictable nature of special education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required and CPR/First Aid/CPI certifications preferred.
• Two years of college credit or an associate's degree or district assessment proficiency.
• Ability to support students with diverse needs and follow IEP guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, behavioral, and functional support to students.
• Implement individualized supports per students' IEPs with the team.
• Assist with personal care needs and maintain accurate documentation.
• Communicate regularly with teachers and staff; be adaptable in dynamic settings.
• Work one-on-one, in small groups, or in inclusive classrooms as needed.
