Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to operate material handling equipment in our Ohio warehouse. You will help move, stack, and count merchandise while following safety and productivity standards.

The role includes order fulfillment, shipping prep, and occasional checks of inventory. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to obtain NFI forklift certification. This on-site position emphasizes accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferred 6 months of forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete and document pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise using forklift and related equipment.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment according to requirements.
• Verify correct quantity and product type loaded and shipped.
• Perform order picking accurately and timely.
• Move product from staging or storage into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through documentation and reporting.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
• Use RF scanning devices to support inventory management.
• Report safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Demonstrate basic Excel skills for required tasks.
