Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. You will operate forklifts safely, perform pre-operation inspections, and assist with order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.

You should have a High School Diploma or GED, up to 6 months of forklift experience, and the ability to pass NFI forklift certification. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience preferred.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment per requirements.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking accurately and timely.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Reports safety concerns or incidents to management promptly.
