Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to operate material handling equipment and support warehouse operations in Mississippi. You will move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Roles include order filling, verification, and documentation using RF devices and basic software tools. The position requires a HS diploma or GED, 6 months forklift experience, and the ability to pass the NFI forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Possesses basic understanding of equipment safety and adheres to all safety protocols.
• Completes and documents required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment in accordance with customer and operational requirements.
• Verifies that the correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in an accurate, timely, and customer-service-focused manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage areas into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains required documentation and reports to support inventory accuracy and product security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as directed.
• Ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with company standards.
• Identifies and reports inventory discrepancies to the inventory control team and participates in resolution.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management.
• Reports safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly.
• Demonstrates basic Excel skills and general computer proficiency to complete required tasks.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management.
