Job summary

NFI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate material handling equipment in our warehouse facility. Responsibilities include unloading inbound shipments, stacking and storing merchandise, and preparing orders for shipment with attention to accuracy and efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety procedures, basic inventory tasks, and the use of RF scanning devices. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with forklift certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience preferred.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established work practices and safety procedures.
• Maintains safety protocols and completes pre-operation inspection forms.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments and moves products to storage locations.
• Picks orders accurately and in a timely manner for shipment.
• Ensures correct quantity and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Rotates and inventories stock and reports discrepancies to inventory control.
