Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate material handling equipment and move, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse. You will perform pre-operation inspections, ensure inventory accuracy, and assist with cycle counts while supporting timely order fulfillment.

The role requires basic math and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Certification and forklift experience are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferred 6 months of forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse distribution equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
• Completes required pre-operation inspection forms for equipment.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations.
• Pulls and prepares products for shipment per requirements.
• Verifies correct quantity and product type loaded and shipped.
• Performs order picking in a accurate, timely manner.
• Moves product from staging or storage into trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains documentation to support inventory accuracy and security.
• Assists with physical inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
• Ensures inventory is rotated per company standards.
• Identifies and reports discrepancies to inventory control.
