Job summary

MC Machinery Systems Inc. is seeking a Customer Applications Engineer — Sinker EDM in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will analyze customer needs, run on-machine testing, and coach teams on high power processing techniques to improve quality and cycle times.

Travel across North America may be required as you support sales demos and remote diagnostics. You will collaborate with Applications Engineers to coordinate marketing activities and ensure timely, accurate troubleshooting across time zones,

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience operating, programming, setting up, and developing processes for EDM machinery
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong CAD/CAM knowledge and CNC programming skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional presence
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license
• Experience with EDM applications and industry standards

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve application-related issues to improve Sinker EDM performance.
• Respond promptly to customer reports and coordinate with MC Machinery resources.
• Create practical solutions using sound judgment and applications knowledge.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting via telephone.
• Identify opportunities that drive sales and execute persuasive demos and test cuts.
• Deliver and design customer training on high power processing; train internal staff as needed.
• Document findings and communicate strategies clearly with customers and teammates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
