This full-time role focuses on development and optimization of single cell assays, performing hands-on molecular biology, library prep, sequencing, and data analysis. You will collaborate with colleagues across R&D, Chemistry, and Computational Biology to troubleshoot and refine workflows, design new components, and support customers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation.
• Experience with experimental design and data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and custom experiments to develop, test, and improve single cell assay workflows, including sample processing, library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis.
• Prepare high-quality NGS libraries using established molecular biology protocols.
• Contribute to the design, testing, and troubleshooting of new assay components and existing systems.
• Master the use of existing tools and defined protocols, and identify opportunities to improve them.
• Conceive of and develop new tools and methods to support assay development.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to draw conclusions and determine next steps.
• Begin to collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Support, and Marketing to advance assay development priorities.
• Contribute to project plans and sub-task timelines for assigned workstreams.
