Job summary

CymSTAR, LLC in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, code, test, and document simulation software for trainer devices. You will participate in the full software lifecycle and support delivery to global locations.

The role requires knowledge of C, C#, Python, Fortran, Ada, and Linux, plus collaboration with hardware and software teams to meet performance goals and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent; or 3 years related, practical experience.
• Minimum of 18 months of simulation industry experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.
• Proficiency in English and ability to develop technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review program specifications with engineers to identify interface requirements between software and hardware.
• Develop detailed software designs from top-level requirements and interfaces.
• Write code in C, Fortran, and/or other languages; Linux OS.
• Perform subsystem integration, verification, and acceptance testing of software products.
• Troubleshoot software issues and resolve problems effectively.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to accomplish development and production goals.
