Job summary

CymSTAR, LLC seeks a Software Engineer I in Tulsa, OK to design, code, implement, and test simulation software for trainer devices. You will handle the software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, verification, and documentation within schedule constraints.

Qualifications include a BS in a technical field or 3 years related experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Travel about 25% nationally/internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent; or 3 years related, practical experience.
• Background must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the sciences underlying software engineering.
• U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review program specifications and interface requirements between software and hardware with project and systems engineers.
• Define, derive, and decompose requirements and develop preliminary and detailed software design approaches.
• Identify and manage technical risks to mitigate issues and control costs.
• Write software code in C, Fortran, and/or other languages; operate in Linux.
• Perform integration, verification, and acceptance testing of design products.
• Troubleshoot software issues and resolve problems.
