Job summary

Clark College is seeking part-time, permanent hourly Classified Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 1 for Standardized Patient/Simulated Participant roles in the Nursing unit. Roles involve portraying scenarios, delivering feedback, and contributing to realistic learner encounters on Clark College campus at WSUV.

Responsibilities include memorizing scripts, arriving early, collaboration with simulation faculty, and maintaining confidentiality. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to provide effective feedback.
• Capacity to receive feedback.
• Must exhibit good attendance.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous experience and/or training as an actor, standardized patient or simulation participant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Memorize scripts for scenarios.
• Arrive prepared 30–60 minutes early.
• Portray role as scripted with cues from facilitators.
• Collaborate with the simulation team to input scenario details.
• Receive feedback and use it to improve performance.
• Maintain confidentiality of all case material and student performance information.
• Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their performance.
• Communicate clearly and portray professionalism.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
