Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba seeks a Simulation/Lab Technician to support Allied Health simulation labs. You will coordinate with faculty, prepare supplies, set up and operate simulation equipment, and manage inventory for training scenarios.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an allied health field as a minimum qualification.
• Current AHA BLS certification is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge to troubleshoot multiple software and network hardware systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• General knowledge of electronics, cabling and computers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and build relationships.
• Ability to learn new equipment and adapt to changing technology.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions.
• Innovative problem-solving approaches.
• Willingness to adapt to schedule changes to meet student/faculty needs.
• Professional communication with students, colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Allied Health Simulation and Clinical Coordinator, EMT/Paramedic Program Director, and faculty to prepare lab supplies and equipment per requests.
• Set up and break down scenario environments and manage scenario props.
• Operate audio-visual and simulation equipment.
• Adjust to medical aspects of scenarios based on participant actions.
• Create laboratory packets for simulations under supervision.
• Play standardized patient or patient voice when needed.
• Maintain inventory of all lab supplies and coordinate with the team.
• Perform laboratory housekeeping duties.
• Support flexible work hours including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
