Job summary

Science and Technology Corporation (STC) is seeking a Simulation Electronics Engineer to support power board design for cockpit interface units at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center. The role involves schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, and integration in a part-time surge capacity.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance. Hybrid onsite/offsite work up to 20 hours per week is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Engineering or Physical Science, with extensive relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics theory.
  • Understanding of embedded systems.
  • PCB design and layout experience.
  • Schematic capture experience.
  • Signal processing experience.
  • Advanced programming skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required (NASA facility access).

Responsibilities

  • Design an electronic circuit card (power board) to distribute power within the cockpit interface unit subsystem.
  • Complete schematic capture and PCB layout in preparation for board production.
  • Define required operational parameters and develop test procedures for circuit card verification.
  • Test the manufactured circuit card to ensure it operates per required parameters.
  • Troubleshoot and modify the circuit design if needed.
  • Develop firmware and support data acquisition for circuit test and integration.
  • Coordinate with the Simulation Engineering Branch for integration and test of the power board.
