Job summary
Howard University is seeking a Technical Simulation Support role to maintain and operate simulation labs across the Center. The role requires setting up, running, and breaking down sessions nightly, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
Applicants should have an Associate degree and relevant certifications, plus experience with AV systems and biomedical simulators. Nights/weekends work is required; training provided and growth opportunities available.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in relevant field required.
- Certification in Laboratory Science preferred.
- Experience with simulation equipment and AV systems advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Set up, transition and breakdown for all sessions daily.
- Program simulator software to scenario specifications.
- Operate simulators and AV systems in real-time.
- Assist in role-playing applications and props placement.
- Maintain technical checklists for all simulation scenarios.
- Provide faculty and learners with orientation before classes.
- Maintain equipment and manage supplies.
