Job summary

Howard University’s Simulation & Clinical Skills Center seeks a dedicated technical specialist to set up and break down all simulation activities. You will manage simulators, audio/visual systems, and related equipment, ensuring smooth operations for sessions and education programs.

The role requires familiarity with simulation technology, ability to work nights/weekends, and lifting up to 75 lbs, with reporting to the Center’s Director and Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering.
• Certification in Laboratory Science.
• Minimum five years of related field experience.
• Experience with audio/visual systems.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up, transition and breakdown for all simulation sessions daily.
• Operate simulators and AV equipment in real time.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Maintain equipment repair records.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs.

Education

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering
