Job summary

Howard University College of Medicine seeks a Simulation Center Technician to support all simulation operations in the Simulation & Clinical Skills Center. You will set up and break down sessions, program simulator software, and operate the equipment during real-time scenarios.

The role requires knowledge of simulators and audiovisual systems, and lifting up to 75 lbs. The position includes night and weekend shifts, with training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Technology or Engineering.
Certification in Laboratory Science.
Minimum of five years of related field experience.
Experience with advanced audio/video recording systems.

Responsibilities

Set up, transition and breakdown for all sessions daily.
Program simulator software to scenario specifications and operate simulators/AV in real time.
Provide orientation and assist faculty with equipment and sterile procedures.
Maintain repair records and coordinate repairs with vendors.
