Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a SiPh Technology Architect to drive R&D projects for next generation silicon-photonics solutions, focused on data center applications and extending to automotive, quantum, and biomedical fields. You will work on device physics, design, simulations, process integration, and novel materials like III-V, TFLN, and BTO.

The role requires broad communication and leadership to coordinate with partners, early customers, universities, and external consortia, and to execute

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or Optics.
• 3+ years of work experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology solutions for integration of novel materials into SiPh foundry flow.
• Perform device simulations, define process stack and integration flow.
• Design layout, coordinate design, process integration and testing of R&D vehicles.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with partners, customers, universities and consortia.
