Job summary

Google is seeking a Silicon Failure Analysis Lead to drive end-to-end FA for SOCs used in mobile, tablet, and laptop devices. You will coordinate with Design, Product, Test, Process Technology, Yield, and Reliability teams to pinpoint root causes and deliver robust, cost-effective ICs.

You will lead FA activities across ATE, curve tracing, 3D X-ray, CSAM, optical inspection, and other non-destructive methods to improve yield and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in SoC Failure Analysis.
• Experience operating FA equipment for Electrical Fault Isolation (EFI) and using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) with data from DFT diagnosis tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive yield, reliability, and RMA failure analysis through fault isolation and physical failure analysis.
• Lead efforts to eliminate yield detractors, accelerate yield ramps, reduce DPPM, and lower costs.
• Collaborate with external foundry partners and OSATs for yield learning.
• Deliver insights to design and layout teams to support robust DFY practices and manufacturing ramps.
• Oversee readiness and safety compliance of regional FA laboratories.
