Job summary

Ayar Labs is seeking a Failure Analysis (FA) Manager to lead our FA engineering function at the intersection of silicon photonics and advanced ICs. This hands-on leadership role will manage an internal team and lab, while directing a global network of third-party FA labs and vendors to extend capabilities beyond in-house work.

You'll report to the Head of Quality & Reliability, guiding the team to drive root‑cause analysis that shortens time‑to‑market and strengthens product reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in semiconductor failure analysis, with at least 3+ years in management or vendor-facing roles.
• Solid grounding in semiconductor reliability physics and wafer fabrication processes.
• Experience with external FA vendors and cross-site collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead FA team, mentor engineers, and manage internal lab.
• Direct external FA labs, vendors, and SOWs with pricing and SLAs.
• Define FA methodology and roadmap for next-gen devices.
• Ensure timely, high-quality FA reports and KPI tracking.
