Job summary

Pittsburgh Tomorrow is seeking an experienced SIL Test Engineer to design and execute test strategies for software-defined vehicle platforms. You will focus on SIL/virtual validation, automated testing, and integration across application, middleware, platform, and ECU environments.

You will work with Python-based test automation, Linux-based validation, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust validation of automotive software and vehicle networks.

Qualifications

• Develop Python-based test scripts, utilities, and automation frameworks.
• Automate test execution, result collection, log analysis, and reporting.
• Support automated regression testing as part of CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• SDV Software Test & Validation across unit to system levels.
• Validate automotive applications, middleware, and platform software.
• Analyze failures, logs, and traces to identify defects and root causes.
• Develop reusable test frameworks for automated validation.
• Participate in requirement analysis and derive test scenarios and cases.
• Perform SIL/virtual validation and work with virtual ECUs for integration.
• Support migration from physical ECU/HIL to virtualized tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate SDV apps across heterogeneous compute environments.
• Understand interactions between software, middleware, OS, and hardware.
• Gain hands-on experience with vehicle networks and protocols.
