7Th Sky Tech in Fremont, CA is seeking a Software Engineer – SIL/HIL to join our engineering team and drive embedded software validation across SIL/HIL environments. The role emphasizes developing, integrating, testing, and validating embedded software, with automated testing, debugging, and cross‑functional collaboration across software, hardware, and systems teams.

Experience with CAN, Ethernet, and model-based development is valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
2–6 years experience in software testing/embedded software/SIL/HIL/system validation.
Strong C/C++ and/or Python skills.
MATLAB/Simulink experience preferred.
Understanding of SIL, HIL, MIL and automated testing concepts.
Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
Knowledge of Git and software development/testing methodologies.
Good analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SIL and HIL test environments for embedded software validation.
Design, develop, and execute automated test cases and test scenarios.
Perform software integration, verification, and validation activities.
Develop simulation models and test setups for real-time hardware and software testing.
Analyze test results, identify failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
Debug embedded software issues using development and debugging tools.
Integrate software components with HIL/SIL platforms and test benches.
Develop automation scripts using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools.
Maintain test scripts, configurations, simulation models, and test documentation.
Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and test engineers to resolve defects.
Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and reporting.
Support CI and automated regression testing.
Ensure testing activities comply with development and quality processes.
