Job summary
AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer, Signaling and Train Control, for an on-site role in Sacramento, CA. The engineer provides leadership for railway signaling and train control systems on a major transportation project, supporting design, integration, testing, and commissioning across ETCS Level 2, Automatic Route Setting, and related systems.
The position involves reviewing engineering deliverables, coordinating interfaces, and ensuring compliance with program requirements and safety
Qualifications
- BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and approve signaling engineering deliverables throughout design, construction, and testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate interfaces between signaling, telecommunications, rolling stock, track, traction power, and operations teams.
- Provide technical oversight for ETCS Level 2, Automatic Route Setting, CBTC, and related systems.
- Support requirements management, system architecture development, and interface definition activities for train control.
- Work with safety assurance teams, authorities, and stakeholders to obtain approvals and certifications.
