Job summary

Egis is seeking a Project Manager, Signaling for our Sacramento, CA office to lead the delivery of signaling and train control systems from design through testing and handover. The role requires a strong background in railway signaling, systems integration, and managing safety‑critical rail projects with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years in railway signaling or rail systems project delivery.
• Experience delivering ETCS, CBTC, PTC, ATP, or similar signaling systems.
• Strong systems engineering and safety‑critical infrastructure knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage external suppliers.
• Track record delivering complex transportation projects with budget and schedule accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead signaling and train control systems delivery across the full project lifecycle.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate interfaces between signaling, telecommunications, rolling stock, operations, track, power, and civil disciplines.
• Oversee integration of train control with interlocking and traffic management systems.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and system handover activities, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage consultants, contractors, and vendors to meet objectives.
