Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager, Overhead Contact System (OCS) for our Sacramento, CA office. You will oversee the delivery of 25kV AC railway electrification infrastructure from design through commissioning, energization, and handover, coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

The role requires extensive project management experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex railway electrification projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Demonstrated experience delivering 25kV AC OCS systems from design through commissioning and operational service.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Experience coordinating OCS delivery with traction power, signaling, track, structures, and rolling stock disciplines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of OCS systems across design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, energization, and handover.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and contractor performance.
• Coordinate interfaces with traction power, signaling, communications, track, structures, stations, and operations.
• Oversee testing phases including FAT, SAT, integrated and energization programs.
• Ensure safety, outages, compliance, and regulatory approvals.
• Provide executive reporting, forecasting, and governance input.
