Job summary
Dallas Area Rapid Transit is seeking a Signal Sys Testing Maintainer to perform complex testing, upgrades, and repairs of the signal systems. You will program microprocessor-based signal equipment and conduct high-level tests for the Ways, Structures & Amenities Division in Dallas, TX.
The role requires an associate degree or technical certification in electronics or mechanical tech and two years of signal maintenance experience on electrified rail systems, with DOT drug testing and safety
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification plus two years of signal maintenance experience on electrified rail systems.
- Must pass a technical test.
- Must obtain and maintain applicable certifications and a Texas CDL within required timelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform programming of microprocessor-based signal system components.
- Troubleshoot and repair signal equipment and related components.
- Conduct complex signal tests and document results.
- Maintain documentation for signal tests and preventive maintenance.
- Operate safely to ensure train movement is not affected during repairs.
