Job summary

Watco Transloading is seeking a Signal Maintainer to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install railroad signal and crossing systems across multiple sites. You will work with electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, following safety procedures and technical instructions to ensure reliable operations.

As part of a mobile maintenance crew, you will travel extensively, work nights or weekends as needed, and collaborate with a Signal Foreman to complete projects while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with railroad signal systems or related electrical work is preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics and instructions.
• Willingness to travel as part of a mobile maintenance crew.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install railroad signal and crossing systems.
• Work with electrical, mechanical, and electronic components and follow safety procedures.
• As part of a mobile crew, travel to multiple locations to support operations.
• Load, unload, inventory, and organize tools and equipment on site.
• Follow rules, blueprints, FRA standards, and company practices.
