Job summary

DALLAS AREA RAPID TRANSIT INC. seeks a skilled Signal Systems Supervisor to oversee maintenance, testing, and upgrades of train signaling systems for the Ways, Structures and Amenities group.

You will lead technicians, assign preventive work, and ensure reliability of fiber optics, microprocessors, and related equipment. You must have an associate degree or technical training, 3 years in signal maintenance on electrified rail, and the ability to pass tests and DOT medical exams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical training in a related field.
• 3 years of preventative and corrective signal maintenance on electrified rail systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days.
• Must pass a technical test and DOT medical exam.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee signal systems maintenance and lead Signal Maintainers.
• Evaluate inspections and assign preventive/corrective work.
• Troubleshoot fiber optics, microprocessors, and signal data equipment.
• Maintain electrical gear from 12V to 480V and quantify fault data.
• Program signal components and perform complex signal tests.
• Manage inventories, tools, and spare parts for reliability.
• Ensure safety compliance per AREMA, FRA, and DART rules.
