Job summary

Gensler's Brand Design + Strategy studio in Atlanta seeks a Signage and Wayfinding Designer to join a collaborative team delivering design and documentation for diverse projects in aviation, education, hospitality, retail, sports and workplace. You will deliver signage systems from concept to completion with attention to detail and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, environmental graphic design, architecture or related field.
• 3–6 years professional experience in signage and wayfinding design or related studio work.
• Strong typography, color, hierarchy; ability to integrate brand identity.
• Familiarity with ADA, fire and life-safety signage codes and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Organized with strong presentation abilities and independent work habits.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD tools with 3D modeling familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design and concept sign types and wayfinding solutions, building a cohesive sign family.
• Develop traffic flow diagrams and understand how people move through spaces.
• Propose wayfinding strategies around naming, numbering and other cues.
• Create sign location plans, message schedules and design documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, architects, contractors and fabricators.
• Coordinate documentation for construction and installation of signage systems.
• Travel occasionally to client sites to perform signage surveys and oversee installs.
