Job summary

The City of Branson is seeking a hands-on Sign Shop Technician to design, build, and install city signage, following federal MUTCD standards, and to help keep our city moving safely. You will perform sign fabrication, repair, pavement markings, snow plowing, and related duties, with work zones, barricades, and safety protocols to maintain clear guidance for drivers and pedestrians.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing semi-skilled building or mechanical, construction or grounds maintenance tasks.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as part of the position.
• Pass the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam before your start date.
• Willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during November through March.
• Be able to work Call Out duty, On-Call duty rotation, and emergency calls outside of normal work hours.
• Be able to pass a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, and a physical agility screening.

Responsibilities

• Create & Install City Signage – help design, build, and set up street signs that follow MUTCD standards.
• Get Hands-On – sign fabrication, repairing signs, installing pavement markings, trimming trees, and snow plowing.
• Keep Traffic Flowing – set up work zones, place barricades, and follow safety protocols for drivers and pedestrians.
• Mark the Way – use paint stripers and other tools to install and maintain pavement markings.
