Job summary

FASTSIGNS of FINDLAY is seeking a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will follow layouts to apply vinyl and full-color graphics, prepare substrates, weed vinyl, operate printers, and perform quality checks while finishing pieces for mounting.

The role requires ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work under pressure. Competitive pay with benefits is offered, along with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in sign production preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more).
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist‑high table and apply vinyl letters and graphics.
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high‑quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color images on a substrate.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.).
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; techniques vary by size/type.
• Operate and maintain printer(s).
• Perform quality assurance pre- and post-production by reading Work Orders and checking for errors.
• Finish by laminating and/or mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
