Job summary

FASTSIGNS Parker/Castle Rock is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl graphics, prepare substrates, and operate printers, ensuring quality from work orders through finishing.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years in sign production, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. We offer competitive pay, 401(k), benefits, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in sign production is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl letters and graphics

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; methods vary with size and complexity
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by reading Work Orders and proofing for errors
• Finish by laminating and/or mounting printed pieces
• Install signs and graphics (wall signs, post and panels, letters, decals)
• Report inventory levels and stock to the center/production manager or franchisee
• Clean and maintain production and storage areas

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Install signs and graphics like wall signs, post and panels, dimensional letters and decals.
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain production and storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-5 years of experience in sign production a plus. Total compensation includes a bonus and is based on experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Compensation

Compensation: $17.25 - $21.00 per hour
