Job summary

FASTSIGNS Parker/Castle Rock in Raleigh, NC is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our production team. You will follow layouts to apply vinyl and full-color graphics to substrates, prepare materials, and operate printers.

The role requires 1–2 years in sign production, a high school diploma, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capability to lift 50+ pounds. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (4+ hours).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle physical tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, quality work.
• Experience with light power tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to apply vinyl or full-color graphics to substrates.
• Prepare substrates: cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
• Weed excess vinyl and manage weeding techniques by project.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform quality checks from Work Orders and proofs.
• Finish by laminating or mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and reorder needs.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
