Job summary

FASTSIGNS Parker/Castle Rock is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist in North Olmsted, OH. You will follow layouts to apply computer-cut vinyl and full-color graphics, prepare substrates, and maintain printing equipment.

The role includes quality checks, finishing, and inventory reporting to management. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in sign production, a high school diploma, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ pounds.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of sign production experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4+ hours).
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and apply vinyl.
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high volume, quality work.
• Able to operate light power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics on substrates.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application including cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; adjust techniques for size and complexity.
• Operate and maintain printer(s).
• Perform quality assurance by reading Work Orders and proofing accuracy.
• Finish by laminating or mounting printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center/production manager or franchisee.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images
• Operate and maintain printer(s)
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Ideal Qualifications For FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
