Job summary

FASTSIGNS Parker/Castle Rock is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team in New York. You will follow layouts, prepare substrates, apply vinyl and prints, and operate large format printers and a flatbed cutter.

The role requires physical work, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and occasional outdoor tasks. A high school diploma is required, with 1–2 years in sign production preferred. Driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over waist-high tables for loading and cleaning substrates
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
• Ability to work on ladders
• Must be comfortable to occasionally work outdoors in various climate conditions
• Driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a substrate
• Prepare substrates for digital printing and vinyl application (cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning)
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images
• Operate and maintain large format digital printers and digital flatbed cutter
• Perform quality assurance by reading work orders and proofreading for errors
• Finish by laminating and mounting printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to the center/production manager
• Clean and maintain storage areas

A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist Will

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for digital printing and vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images
• Operate and maintain large format digital printers and digital flatbed cutter
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas

Compensation: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
