Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care across patients of all ages. You will educate patients and families, follow the therapy plan, document outcomes, and collaborate with the care team to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.

The role requires an IL-licensed PTA, BLS within 30 days, and completion of required CEU for stroke and joint replacement programs as applicable. A sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
• Required to successfully complete board exam on the next available exam date.
• Continuing education requirements for total joint replacement certification may apply as assigned by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and available evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy.
• If applicable, completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Implements intervention plans per the Physical Therapist's plan of care and communicates changes to the medical team.
