Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to implement plans of care under the supervision of a physical therapist. The role serves as a clinical resource and educator for patients, families, and staff across ages, with emphasis on evidence-based practice.

A sign-on bonus is offered, along with relocation assistance for moving 50+ miles. The position requires an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, BLS, and state licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - IL license or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on the next available date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications.
• Completes daily documentation and uses therapy EMR.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring provider.
