Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under a PT's guidance. You will educate patients and families, adjust treatment based on responses, and maintain accurate daily documentation in the EMR.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant and PTA licensure. A BLS certification and ongoing education are required to support acute stroke care compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed PTA (IDFPR) or eligible to licensure in Illinois is noted in posting.
• BLS certification within 30 days required.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment with physician communication.
• Completes daily documentation and therapy EMSR entries.
• Coordinates with PT and communicates progress to referring providers.
