The City of Ventura is seeking a Sign Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department. The role installs, maintains, and repairs street name and traffic control signs across the city, with standby duties and callback responses as required.

Responsibilities include sign fabrication, painting and street markings, record-keeping, and using electronic maintenance systems. Requires IMSA certifications within specified timelines and a California Class C license.

Competenze

• One year of maintenance or construction experience or equivalent training.
• Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• IMA SA Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Technician certification within six months; IMSA Sign and Pavement Marking Technician Level I within twelve months.

Mansioni

• Install, maintain, and repair street name and traffic control signs throughout the City.
• Operate a one-ton truck and various hand, power, and mechanized tools.
• Maintain records of work and materials; monitor inventory and respond to callbacks as needed.
