Soliant is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for a contract role inside a dynamic educational setting in California. You will interpret spoken and signed content to ensure access for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, collaborating with teachers and staff throughout the school day.

The ideal candidate has school-based interpreting experience, strong ASL skills, and relevant credentials, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school setting.
• Proficiency in ASL and familiarity with educational terminology.
• Appropriate interpreting credentials or certifications (EIPA/RID/state).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students, educators, and families in a team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken and signed communication in classroom settings.

Job description

What You’ll Need:

• Demonstrated experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school environment
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with educational terminology
• Appropriate interpreting credentials or certifications (such as EIPA, RID, or state certification)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
