Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support students in a school setting. This on-site contract position emphasizes breaking down communication barriers and fostering inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities include providing ASL interpretation for classroom instruction and events, collaborating with faculty, and maintaining confidentiality. Valid educator certification and EIPA/NIC credentials are required, with ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• EIPA written test with a minimum score of 75%.
• Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA performance assessment or hold an active NIC from RID.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Educator Certification required
• Successful completion of the EIPA written test with a minimum score of 75%
• Either a 4.0 or higher on the EIPA performance assessment or hold an active National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from RID
• Previous experience in educational or school settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ethical interpreting standards and professional conduct
