Job summary
Ilocatum is seeking a Controls Engineer in Johnson City, TN, to own maintenance and reliability of plant equipment. You will lead preventive maintenance, calibration, and CI projects while troubleshooting critical electrical controls and automation systems including Siemens controllers, HMIs, and drive systems.
The role requires a BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, expertise with AutoCAD, MS Office, and strong PLC programming skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Experience with instrumentation and maintenance in industrial automation.
- Experience with lean techniques and structured quality systems.
- Siemens PLC programming, troubleshooting, and tuning AC/DC/VFD drives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain plant site equipment to latest technologies via preventive maintenance and CI.
- Improve uptime, MTBF and reliability through CI plans and annual CAPEX projects.
- Coach Supervisors/Technicians in prioritizing maintenance and TPM activities.
- Assist spare parts management and document maintenance/calibration procedures.
- Liaise IT and plant for manufacturing network issues and troubleshooting.
- Provide on-call support and weekend coverage as needed.
