Job summary

SK Services, LLC is seeking a PLC Maintenance Specialist for our manufacturing client in Georgia. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment, PLCs, and industrial control systems to maximize uptime and efficiency.

You will troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers, read schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and support capital projects and weekend maintenance as needed. A strong safety mindset with LOTO is essential.

Qualifications

Extensive experience with PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers.
Proficiency with Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Strong preventive maintenance and downtime analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and program PLCs, HMIs, and electrical control systems.
Configure and improve PLC programs using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance, analyze downtime, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
Provide technical support to electricians and maintenance technicians.
Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, shutdowns, and weekend maintenance activities.
Monitor maintenance KPIs, document repairs, and communicate equipment issues and improvement opportunities.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors on repairs, installations, and modifications.
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
