Job summary

Actalent in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Controls Engineer to program, commission, troubleshoot, and debug Siemens PLCs on the manufacturing floor, primarily using Siemens TIA and S7/Step7. The role is onsite in a heavy industrial setting with PPE requirements.

You will collaborate with maintenance and production teams, work with Siemens VFDs and HMIs, and lead system upgrades. This contract position offers pay ranging from $40.00 to $60.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and no travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years of controls engineering experience, OR an Associate's Degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting Siemens PLCs (TIA, S7/Step7).
• Understanding of VFDs and HMIs, and ability to upgrade systems.

Responsibilities

• Program and commission Siemens PLCs on the manufacturing floor (TIA/S7).
• Troubleshoot and debug Siemens PLCs to ensure smooth operation.
• Assist maintenance and production staff with Siemens troubleshooting.
