Job summary

Unusual Machines, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to design, program, commission, and support automated machinery and production systems.

You will lead Siemens PLC projects in TIA Portal, configure SINAMICS drives, and develop HMI interfaces while collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams. The role requires hands-on experience with Siemens Safety Integrated and FANUC robotics, plus strong electrical schematics and network proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years programming Siemens PLCs in TIA Portal.
• Experience configuring SINAMICS drives and servo motors.
• Hands-on Siemens HMI development experience.
• Siemens Safety Integrated programming and hardwired safety circuits experience.
• FANUC robot programming with ROBOGUIDE is a plus.
• Proficiency in multiple IEC 61131-3 languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC programs in TIA Portal for S7-1500/S7-1200.
• Design, build, and edit HMI applications.
• Configure and optimize SINAMICS drives and servo systems.
