Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Physician Assistant specialized in SICU to provide comprehensive care in critical care settings. Ideal candidates hold a NYS PA license, DEA, and BLS certification, with ACLS/PALS preferred. Prior ICU experience is valued, and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a NYS PA license and graduation from an accredited PA program.
• DEA certificate required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred depending on privileges.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practice within delineated privileges.
• Provide direct care with safety and confidentiality.
• Take history, perform exams, and write orders.
• Monitor patient response and notify attending physician.
• Document encounters and maintain clinical records.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with staff and families.
• Provide preventive health counseling and education.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and committees.
• May be on call during non-working hours.
• Supervise and evaluate PA students as appropriate.
